Bali Travel Itinerary and guide
When we visited Bali we hired a car and arranged collection from the airport so there would be no need to pay for transport into town. This was the first time we have hired a car in Asia, usually just getting mopeds in each town as we went around but we had heard cabs were expensive and we wanted a little freedom to get about This was the best decision we made and if we were to go back we would do the same again!
We rolled through plush forests winding hills and rice terraces towered over by mountains, with cover of the car rainy season was not a problem, running for cover when it got too heavy and not needing to plan so much around the weather. We find when we travel weather on buses or trains we always see things out of the window we would have liked to stop for, the freedom of a car between areas allowed us to stop whenever we liked, but of course Bali is a much smaller place than most!
Denpasar and Kuta Beach area.
We started off our trip in Bali with 6 nights at Kuta beach. I would say this was way too long and we found ourselves venturing out a lot further to Ubud and other areas, which may have been more appropriate to stay. All in all our trip was two weeks long.
