Destruction of temples due to the August 2016 Earthquake in Bagan

If you are going to Bagan in the near future, be aware that there was an earthquake not so long ago, this means entry to some temples is limited due to the damage on the structures, a lot of them also have repair work, scaffolding and big plastic sheets on the tops preventing rubble fall. The damage seems quite extent, sweeping the full scope of the area, some temples you could previously climb are now closed off to the public.

I have compiled and exported some pins for Open Source maps to help you on your trip to give you information on what temples offer the best views, where you can climb and the top photo spots which are no longer accessible, where scaffolding is and where is blocked off or locked.

Send us a quick message here and we will forward you the file, completely for free.
